Tara is located in Eire (today's Ireland), and it is a small stronghold in the wilderness of the green isle, a land known for its barbarians. Set in 100 AD, Tara is set during the time following Rome's conquest of Britain when the Scotti still lived in Ireland. Traders from all over the known world see Tara as the end of the line, and the most rare of items can be found here, as traders seek the wealth of the Emerald Isle to take with them. Tara is also the spiritual centre of Eire, and druids from the five counties of the island make regular visits to the Great Hall.

Tara is ruled by the Warlord Caius Vermillius.
